Public Relations Practitioners and their use of modern communication tools vs. traditional communication tools.

There are many differences in the way PR practitioners use to communicate and how they communicate now. The main difference I want to discuss is the technological shifts. Technology has changed drastically making our lives so much more convenient. Practitioners are now able to save so much time and received quick feedback through social media. The different social media platforms also gives practitioners the ability to customize the messages they want to get across to different audiences. For example, Facebook is a good source to reach the older population, whereas Twitter is the quickest and most efficient way to reach the younger generation. The time constraints have diminished over the years due to the high speed of the internet. Practitioners can now reach their audience remarkably faster than in previous times. My favorite aspect of changing technology is interactivity. I love that practitioners can create a personal connection with the public due to channels that have been created for responses, inputs, and new ideas. Overall, technology has been an impactful tool for communication and I cannot wait to see where it continues to take Public Relations.
